How do we brush a Poodle?

The most appropriate way to brush your Poodle is called "line brushing". We literally brush and comb the dog line by line. If you can access this YouTube video it is a great demonstration. Keep in mind, your dog does not have to be a "show dog" to be brushed properly. You do not want your friend to mat so we brush section by section, followed by combing to ensure there are no mats hiding at the skin. After brushing each section we start that using the large toothed comb first, and when it flows through freely you can move onto the smaller toothed comb.
It honestly is not a lot of work, all dogs need to be brushed but for long haired dogs, this makes it more efficient and effective. We include some of these tools in your puppy's go-Home bag!
